We have been answering questions about singing bowls, sound instruments, chakras, frequencies, crystals and wellness for more than 15 years. Some questions are simple. Some lead to very long conversations about sound. Here are the ones we hear most often.
Shopping & Product Help
I have never purchased a crystal singing bowl. Can you help me?

Can someone help me choose a bowl personally?
Yes. Private shopping is available virtually and in our Sarasota showroom. We can compare notes, sizes, bowl styles, tuning, sound and price with you.
Do you have products that are not online?
Sometimes. Our physical showroom changes constantly, and one of a kind crystals and instruments can move faster than we can photograph and publish them. If you are searching for something specific, contact us.
What is the difference between 432 Hz and 440 Hz?
They are different musical tuning references. Some people prefer one over the other, but current evidence does not establish that 432 Hz is inherently healing or that 440 Hz is harmful. If this is your first bowl, we recommend beginning with whether you actually enjoy the sound. Our Learning Center explains the history in more detail.
Do I need to know my chakra or musical note?
No. You are welcome to begin with an intention such as grounding, relaxation, creativity, confidence or compassion. Our Singing Bowl Quiz can help connect that intention with a traditional chakra and musical note.
Do I need to be spiritual to use a singing bowl?
No. Some people use bowls within spiritual practices. Others use them for meditation, relaxation, mindful listening or simply because they enjoy the sound.
Sound, Wellbeing & Health
Can singing bowls help me relax?
Many people find intentional listening, music and sound practices relaxing. Individual experiences vary. We do not present singing bowls as cures or substitutes for appropriate medical or mental health treatment.
Can I use sound while dealing with anxiety, cancer, illness or another difficult period?help me choose a bowl personally?
Many people incorporate gentle sound, meditation and personal rituals into their lives during stressful or challenging times. A singing bowl does not treat cancer, anxiety or another health condition. If you have medical concerns, sensitivities or are undergoing treatment, follow the recommendations of your healthcare professionals. Sometimes the value of a bowl is simply creating a few peaceful minutes that belong to you.
Sound Healing Education
Do I need instruments before taking a sound healing class?
No. This is one of the advantages of training at The OM Shoppe. Instruments are available during our hands on training so you can learn and experience different tools before deciding what you may want to own.
Do beginners take your sound healing classes?
Yes. Some programs are specifically designed for people beginning their exploration of sound. Other courses are intended for students pursuing professional training. Each course page clearly explains the appropriate level.
Do students receive discounts on instruments?
Eligible students and graduates receive access to special instrument and product pricing as part of our commitment to supporting their continued development.
Do you support students after they graduate?
Yes. We believe graduation should not end your relationship with your teachers or community. Our graduates continue to have access to learning, instrument support, professional community and opportunities to stay connected.
Private Shopping & Sarasota
Can I shop virtually if I do not live in Florida?
Yes. We can meet with you virtually and play instruments live so you can compare them before purchasing.
Do you have a physical store?
Yes. The OM Shoppe has a physical showroom inside our 3,200 square foot wellness and education facility in Sarasota, Florida.
Is The OM Shoppe also a spa?
Yes. The OM Shoppe & Spa offers massage, sound healing experiences, energy healing, hypnotherapy and other wellness services from our Sarasota location.
Orders & Shipping
When will my order ship?
Most stocked orders are prepared promptly during business days. Current processing estimates and any special production times should be displayed during checkout or on the individual product page.
Will I receive tracking?
Yes. When tracking is available, it is emailed after your order ships.
Do you ship internationally?
The OM Shoppe currently does not ship directly to international destinations. International customers may arrange shipment to a freight forwarder of their choosing within the United States. Please review our Shipping Policy for complete details.
What if my package arrives damaged?
Contact us as quickly as possible.

Returns
Can I return something?
Eligible regularly priced items may currently be returned within 14 days of delivery when they are unused and in new, resalable condition.
Some items are excluded. Please read the full Return Policy before sending anything back.
Are sale items returnable?
Sale and discounted items are final sale unless otherwise stated or required by law.
